Sight for All Posters

So having entered the "Sight for All" poster competition, we could submit 2 posters. Both ideas are extremely different to usual, but both born from a good amount of thinking through, and going a little left field. The majority of my brainstorming actually initiated in the shower, seems to be that or when I'm half asleep, so it really was an interesting process. Attached I have the initial scribbles and the final posters.

Enjoy!
Thoughts welcome :)
Disclaimer: I do not own the Sight for All logo, it was a requirement to have it on the posters :)

Back Pack Baby

Inspired by many a madness at uni, I hope to do a few more 'crazy' pictures. I've been absent, again, from the blog world, but I hope to keep adding as I go. Most of these will be from quotes I've gathered over the year, or just some tangents that have come about it conversations.

Enjoy!

Whats the sitch so far?

Hi all!
So it's been a while since I've walked the wondrous land of the blog!
I'll be aiming to post up, splurge posting because it is pretty funky, my works from the last semester, as well as my initial concept of my projects this semester.
Having challenged myself in many ways this year, I've found that my style is slowly becoming it's own (WOO!) and there will be a lot more fun, and exciting, times ahead with my works.
This semester I'm, finally, working on my graphic novel in studio, with the aim of completing something before I head into Masters.
Enjoy!
Creative and constructive criticism is always welcomed!

Boo Society!

Hello blog dwellers!

So I'm working on a project that revolves around the concept of 'perfection' and its effects. Having taken a more satirical approach in my thoughts, and more comic in my means, I've also taken another twist at the idea, and looked at the "why?" and then further more the, "who sees what?". I guess this image was just looking at the idea of how women are objectified in society, boo to you society, and I had a bit of a comic look at the thought that women are always asking men "what they're thinking"...which is true, guys are pretty hard to read. I enjoyed working on the image, so I hope that you enjoy looking at it!
Feedback would be fantastic, as well as criticism!

Breakthrough and updates!

Hi all! After having a long time to figure out my visual direction, I've now come to a point where I just want to dance around the room, yell "huzzah" and jump as high as possible. Although still needing to be improved, in many ways, I love the direction my work has gone in the last week. I've put up these works just to show where I am at. I haven't uploaded in a while, and I do apologise. I'm just over the moon about the progress, and there has been a lot of busy work behind the scenes. I will upload more to do with University projects, as well as different images, soon, and I plan to be more regular, so bear with!
Enjoy!
SIDE NOTE: Some of the images relate directly to my "perfection" project, which is where I aim to create something around the idea of perfection. I used this project to explore my style and how I reproduce things, and this is definitely the cause for it all coming together.
SIDE SIDE NOTE: All of these images are still just play arounds, and drafts, I do not claim them to be complete, just fun!

Journal 1 2013

Hi all! So one thing that we are encouraged to do is to keep a journal, as such, which basically means to keep a book/ form of medium which means that we will continuously drawing. I use a fantastic hardcover book, and it just feels so professional! I really like keeping a visual journal so far, and as I've gotten used to using one, it's been really interesting to see my style adapt and change based on my mood. I really found it interesting how my style would become more distorted as I was tired, or just wacky in general. It really has created new opportunities for me to explore my style and interests. I do apologise for the scanning quality! My new scanner doesn't have an adjustable lid, which means I have to work around it as such, and will most likely need to cut out pages from the journal if I want a proper scan...oh well! I will keep uploading as I get a start on my projects for University, fun fun fun, so keep up to date!

Whats Happening?

Hello bloggers! So it seems that I have been out of action! New scanner has come, so that means that I will be having a massive scanning day, when I have the time, and I will upload all, or most of, the things that I have been drawing in the gap of time between the last upload and now. I'm now doing my post graduate course of Visual Art and Design, so there will be a lot more drawing and sketches to be uploaded; exciting times ahead! So watch this space!
Enjoy!
